  Getting Involved

We are very open to partnership with those who share the Cherish vision. There are three levels of possible involvement with Cherish:

  1. Participate in a Cherish program
  2. Assist in facilitating a Cherish program
  3. Provide external support for a Cherish program

1. Participate in a Cherish program
If you’d like to get involved with Cherish we’d love to hear from you! Please contact us, and we’ll give you all the relevant information. Whether you’re in a rural or an urban area, we’ll then put you in touch with the Cherish group nearest you.

2. Assist in facilitating a Cherish program
There are endless opportunities for new Cherish groups to be established. If you would like more information about what’s involved in becoming a Cherish facilitator, including the facilitator training program, or if you just have questions, please contact us so we can talk. We’d love to hear from you!

3. Providing external support for a Cherish program
We can provide you with endless opportunities to support the development of young women through Cherish! These include, but are not limited to:

Prayer:
The basis of every Cherish program is the power of God to change lives. We need people committed to praying for Cherish leaders and participants and would love to help you pray specifically for the ministry of Cherish

Finances:
Cherish is a non-profit organization and Cherish leaders receive no salary. However, finances are required for many areas including scholarships for Cherish Camps, administration costs, study manuals, travel expenses and training materials.

Vehicle sponsorship:
We have Cherish facilitators working in rural African communities where transport is difficult. Providing these ladies with a bicycle would enable them to visit the young women in their homes, thereby offering increased support to the communities. In urban areas, the lack of affordable, reliable transport often hinders Cherish groups. High capacity vehicles, such as a combi, would assist Cherish leaders in these areas.

Equipment:
A variety of equipment is needed for the different Cherish programs. Cherish Clubs and Camps need sports equipment such a volleyball nets and balls, team building resources, arts and craft supplies. Skills training programs use equipment such as computers, printers, sewing machines.

Expert advice:
If you have expert advice to offer for any of our Cherish programs, we’d love to hear from you! We are constantly expanding and updating our resources, and value input from those with experience in their field of expertise.

We’d love to hear from you if you can assist with any of these skills or items.
Please contact us to let us know you’d like to partner with Cherish!
